Abstract
BIHARI KE KAVYA ME SHRINGAR RAS ; EK VISTRIT VISHLESHAN
Sunita Maan
Volume: 2 Issue: 1 2012
Abstract:
Mahakavi Bihari, who is counted among the Ritikal Riti Siddha poets, did not compose anything other than Satsai in his lifetime. The group of Bihari connoisseurs are seen mesmerized by each couplet of Bihari Satsai. Bihari Satsai is a couplet-bound composition. In simple words, it is a free verse composition full of Shringar Rasa. In Sanskrit literature, there have been abundant compositions in the form of Shatak, Saptashati, Saptashatika, consisting of hundred, seven hundred and thousand verses respectively. It was not considered necessary that a Shatak should have only hundred verses. Still, the attention of Sanskrit writers has definitely been towards following the rules.
