Empowering Indian Women Towards Gender Equality-Recent Legal and Welfare Measures

Abstract:
Majority of women thought India becoming victims of gender inequality that they are facing social, cultural and economic discrimination at family and community level. Particularly, now, Indian women are facing the problem of rape by men, dowry death, domestic violence, caste-violence and casteism, patriarchal society, malnutrition, unequal payment for work of job, joblessness etc., Patriarchy is the root cause for gender inequality Indian constitution provide gender equality After Independence various legal and welfare measures have been launched by govts against gender inequality world pandemic covid-19 impacted poor women miserably. Despite various odds, the process for gender equality is going by the efforts of govt, NGOs and few individuals from civil society
