Understanding the Issues of the Russo-Ukrainian Conflict

Abstract:

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine cannot be reduced to a simple opposition between two states; it is a multifaceted confrontation with deep roots, combining historical, political, economic, and geostrategic issues. This article aims to explain the complex dimensions of this war, identifying its root causes, the various actors involved, whether state, non-state, or international, as well as the major consequences for the global balance. Through this analysis, it also aims to shed light on the power dynamics, rivalries for influence, and sanctions dynamics that are redrawing contemporary power relations.
